Georgioupolis - Vrisses - Askifou - Sfakia - Loutro. Highlight: boat trip to the car free village of Loutro. From Chania drive in the direction of Georgioupolis and just before follow the signs to Vrisses then the main road to Chora Sfakion (also advertised as Sfakia).
If you follow the signs to the village of Chora Sfakion/Sfakia you will drive over the Askifou Plateau down to the South coast. Chora Sfakion is a small, quaint fishing village where you can park your hire car and take the ferry to Loutro.

Loutro is car free and can only be reached by ferry. Loutro’s tavernas are inviting for a meal and you can go hiking here. The name Loutro translates as “spa baths” and it was a spa in ancient times with some evidence of this remaining today.
