Lentas, Crete South coast
The small village of Lentas (Lendas) is a place for individualists. The drive here alone is impressive. A handful of houses lie at the foot of a steep towering southern coast mountain. There is no one to disturb you here. To the west is a fantastic sandy beach with a few tavernas. Lentas (Lendas) has been famous for its good drinking water since antiquity and it is said to possess healing qualities. Those who stay a couple of days should not miss the Saturday market in Mires.
