The Areti Apartments/holiday homes are for those who are seeking peace and quiet off the beaten track.

| Location |
The Areti Apartments/holiday homes are located in Aptera (north eastern from Chania) overlooking the Souda Bay and only 1 km from the archeological ruins of Aptera. The Aptera ruins stem from various eras and are located on a plateau. You can see traces of the Mycenae, Dorians, ancient Greeks, a Roman cistern and part of the ancient town wall. This plateau was popular with conquerors over the centuries as a vantage point over the Souda Bay.
In the village itself are five tavernas. The most beautiful town in Crete, Chania, is about 12 km away. The quaint village of Kalives with its wonderful sandy beach, coffee houses, tavernas and shops is only 5 km away. The nearest beach is Kalami Beach which is 1.5 km away and has two tavernas.

A small, idyllically situated apartment complex with 12 studios and 9 apartments. All units have a wonderful view of the sea and Souda Bay. The building has a lovely garden with a pool, a taverna (not open all the time) with daily menus and exclusive Cretan wines.Use of sun shades and loungers is free.

Studios sleep 2-3. Bed/sitting room with integrated kitchen unit and fridge. All units have TV, air conditioning, shower/WC, and balcony with fantastic view of Souda Bay. Country category: class A/3-4 stars. The large apartments/ holiday homes have a separate bedroom and a bed-sofa in the living room for the 3rd and 4th person.

At the moment at the weekends there may be a local wedding or christening party around the pool or in the taverna. Apartment guests are very welcome to join in the festivities although it is understood that some guests might find the noise disturbing.
A hire car is recommended and essential to reach Chania or Kalives (3km) quickly. Bikes can be hired out (local charge).
